Guidelines for Home Grant Eligibility

1. Minimum Credit Score Requirement: Applicants must possess a minimum credit score of 580 to utilize this first time homebuyer program.
2. Income Limitation: Total household income should not surpass the median income limits specified for the area.
3. First-Time Homebuyer Status: Eligibility is limited to individuals who are purchasing a home for the first time.
4. Primary Residence Requirement: Applicants must commit to occupying the purchased property as their primary residence which is standard when using first time homebuyer mortgage programs.
5. Minimum Contribution: Applicants must contribute at least $1000 out of their own pockets. Most first time buyer programs ask the buyer to contribute so they have some skin in the game.

These guidelines are essential for determining eligibility and ensuring compliance with our home loan program.

Step 1:  Apply online at Yourhomepurchase.org and one of our mortgage professionals will reach out to you within the hour.

Step 2: We will complete a soft pull credit report  and then have a 1 on 1 consultation with you to go over your fico score and address any concerns.

Step 3:  After speaking with our mortgage professional you will be required to send in the following documents:

1.  2023 W2, 2022 W2

2.  two most recent paystubs

3. Photo ID,

4. SS card

5. two months bank statements ( all pages)

Step 4: Once your documents have been submitted and reviewed your loan professional will inform you of your maximum pre-approval amount.

Step 5: We will refer you to 1 of the 10 counseling agencies in Baltimore City.  Once referred you must complete the counseling steps until you receive your completion certificate.
